I notice the tires start to squeal at just under 2G of side-load - as a crude reference. How does this compare to what an F1 car could do on a perfect stretch around one of these corners? I am strictly talking about the lateral G limits of the tires (including all the downforce, etc).

the fact that it has to be compared to a singer answers the question of what is a more desirable car. the melted marshmallow aesthetic must appeal to many commenters but it looks like an obese secretary in tight clothing. as for the performance i would express deep respect and admiration, but the looks of this car remind me of my sports heroes who retired and gave up on diet and exercise.

Sorry, but its still an over-priced mustang with a reputation of being beat by cars of less cost & hp. It will still unlikely make any successful runs on the Nurburngring/nordschleife track where true supercars prove their worthy & set record-runs. The only Ford to sucessfully completed the "Ring" was a GT 500 in 139th place. far behind the Viper ACR, Z06, Porsche GT2-RS & GT3-RS, GTR, and AMG GT, (among otehrs) Even their GT350, Ford-GT failed to complete any record times on the Ring due to either mechanical failures or crashing. 300-grand for this? -Putting lipstick, a size-23-brah & a mini-skirt on a pig, dont change the fact that its still a pig. Ford needs to wake up & start with a clean-sheet, & stop "Cake-decorating" an obsolete design. Will be fun to see all the Frod-pundits cry when it fails to match the C8 Z06, ZR1, and ZORA, or any of the top Porsche supercars like the GT2-RS & GT3-RS.

This may not be the fastest lap time, but being third place, and behind two prototypes specifically built for this is amazing. To take a road chassis and break a speed record at Nurburg is bonkers

Active suspension is a hell of a thing. The speeds and lines they are able to take through the off camber corners look like they are defying physics but it's actually just melting the hell out of the tyres!

This car obviously shows no control on the corners. You cannot compare the sophistication of a Porsche Engine to this heavy ship
